New Book Study - "The Mind of Christ" by T. W. Hunt & Claude King

We will begin our new book study with an introduction at our next Engage :: Study session on April 7. We have chosen "The Mind of Christ" by T.W. Hunt & Claude King.

This in-depth study is based on Phillipians 2:5: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,..." This study will show us how the Holy Spirit can teach us to think like Christ.

You will be guided to:
-Understand and begin applying a three-stage process through through which God will establish a Christlike mind in you.
-Experience the reality of freedom from the bondage of sin and the past
-Understand and develop 17 virtues of the mind of Christ
-Follow Christ's example in servanthood.
-Reflect Christ's perfect humanity in their attitudes, emotions, and relationships
-Examine Christ's holiness and love and let God make them holy and teach them to love with Christlike love
-Surrender to Christ's absolute lordship in their lives.

Book Study Series: The Me I Want to Be

We will be studying the book "The Me I Want to Be: Becoming God's best version of you" by John Ortberg. The book is divided into seven parts.

Part One: Finding My Identity
Part Two: Flowing with the Spirit
Part Three: Renewing My Mind
Part Four: Redeeming My Time
Part Five: Deepening My Relationships
Part Six: Transforming My Experience
Part Seven: Flowing from Here On Out

We will discuss this book over the course of the fall by using the a combination of discussions at our monthly fellowship and using on-line discussions through this blog. We will post notes and questions to foster a dialogue between our October and November 2012 fellowship gatherings.
