May I Have More Please?

Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval." --John 6:27 NASB
We work hard everyday trying to make a mark in this life. It seems like the days go by faster and faster. As a young child, it seemed like Christmas took forever to arrive. Now, some workers start looking forward to the weekend at about 1:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon. Rushing the week away to get to the weekend--rushing the winter away to get to summer and the next thing you know is it's five, ten or twenty years later.

If we begin to change our focus on what truly matters and what will last, we will begin to seek after the life that God wants for us. We will align our goals and our plans with the ones that God has in store for us. 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope....' - Jeremiah 29:11 NASB

If we will seek each day to find what God has for us in that day, we will begin to find fullfilment in each day. At the end of each day we should ask ourselves, "Have I accomplished anything for the cause of Christ today."
