Have you ever been kind of lost. You thought you new where you were going but then everything you saw began to be unfamiliar. You continued on your path hoping you would see something familiar to reassure you that you were headed in the right direction. Our society is traveling down a path that nothing around us is familiar unless we take a closer look.
The church is beginning to take on the outlook of the world. Same sex marriage is being accepted by some clergy. Those who stand on God's Word are now being labelled as intolerant and un-Christ like. The world now wants the Church to accept the very behavior that God says is an abomination before Him.
When the serpent asked Eve if God really said what he said, the devil planted a seed of doubt in Eve's mind. By simply questioning if what God clearly says in His Word is really true, we open the door to our interpretation of scripture. The issue with our interpretation is we don't see clearly. Our experience and more importantly, our limited understanding of the character and nature of God prevents us from having that conversation about what God said with the enemy.
Satan wants to deceive us so if we allow him to pose questions to us, we will go astray in our understanding of God's Word. We should not try to apply our life to God's Word, we should apply God's Word to our life. We need to change, not God's Word.

This message is very profound. I totally agree that we must try to apply God's Word to our life, not apply our life to God's Word. Thank you for posting!
