Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”The old saying 'You are the company you keep' is supported by this passage. Paul is warning the church at Corinth about those who were denying the resurrection. Listening or hanging out with people with beliefs that are not biblical is something believers should avoid. You will eventually be affected by their belief system. Even if you don't accept it, it will affect your beliefs.

At Corinth, the teaching that there was no resurrection was causing people not to live holy lives. Paul even said just before this verse. ...If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die. (1 Cor. 15:32) As Christians, we believe that God raised Jesus from the dead and those Christian who have died will be raised from the dead also when Jesus returns. This is foundational in our belief.
We must be careful about the company you keep at work, in our personal relationships and even at church. Studying and knowing the scripture for ourselves will help us recognize wrong teaching.

I really like this. As a child when my parents told me this, I thought they were saying it because they may not have particularly cared for some of my "friends". And as I've gotten older that circle of friends has become smaller & smaller. This blog really resonates with me and it's very true that we as believers must be careful of the type of company that we keep. If we aren’t strong in our foundation then we will fall for anything.
